NKF GOLF CLASSIC is The Premier Amateur Golf Event for Charity™ raising over $6 million annually.
The NKF GOLF CLASSIC is the only event of its kind whose local winners have the opportunity to proceed directly to a national championship at Pebble Beach. Members of the winning competitive team will receive the opportunity to play in the NKF GOLF CLASSIC Championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links, the Links at Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills and Del Monte Golf Club in Pebble Beach, California with other tournament winners. All qualifiers will win prizes from major sponsors.
Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this nationwide scramble series. Participants can form their own teams or be placed with other participants by the NKF.
Competitive teams must consist of four amateur players whose combined USGA Handicap Index total 42.0 strokes or more. Only one member of a team may have a USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or less. However, all four players may have USGA Handicap Indexes higher than 8.0. These team formation requirements provide everyone, men and women, scratch golfers and high handicappers, with a chance to win.

February 15th -21st, 2010 marks the return of the World Golf Championships – Accenture Match Play Championship to The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain. This will be the 3rd Annual event honoring the life of Gary P. Durrenberger, who died in a tragic automobile accident on June 1, 2004 just weeks after graduating from Canyon del Oro High School, where he was a member of the regional championship golf team.
The golf tournament will be sponsored by the Southern Arizona Trauma Network (SATNET), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing trauma education and promoting trauma awareness and injury prevention throughout southern Arizona.
"My wife, Laura, and I are thrilled that SATNET and the Southern Chapter PGA has stepped forward to honor Gary's life with this event," said Charles Durrenberger. "We cannot think of a better way to remember Gary and his love for golf."
